Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How long are the sessions?
A: Each session is 50 minutes in length.
Q: Why are the first 2-3 session more expensive?
A: The first sessions are considered intake sessions. These sessions are more intensive and require more information gathering on the part of the therapist.
Q: Why do new patients have to schedule before a certain time of day?
A: Afternoon and evening appointments are the most popular times of day. While it is possible to schedule these appointments in the future, these times are typically already scheduled by established patients.
Q: Why are you out of network with my insurance?
A: We are out of network with specific insurance companies because the reimbursement rates for providers do not reflect the amount of education, experience and reputation of the psychologists at the practice.
Q: Do you know who takes my insurance, since your practice does not?
A: We do not keep a list of what insurance companies other practices in the area are, or are not in network with. You are welcome to contact your insurance company and get a list of in-network providers. Our providers would be happy to look at the list of in-network providers for your plan and make recommendations.
